Creative Movement Play for under 5s
Sessions are run in Early Years settings and out in the community to include children’s key workers, parents and carers too; being creative partners in play!
You can expect dancing, singing, story, sensory props, lots of fun, creativity and connection with your little one!
At Connect Play Create we value the way that each unique body moves and we create a safe space to be together.
Some children may need time and space to find their own movement, and it is absolutely OK for children to spend time watching – to take it all in before they are ready to move.
Inspiration for our creative movement play have included books such as Whatever Next! Kipper and the Blue Balloon, Hooray for Fish, The Paper Dolls, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt to name but a few! Also, use of loose parts and props including jam jar lids, tubes, socks, bubble wrap, big paper, scarves, giant scrunchy bands and…magic beans!
We encourage grown-ups to take the lead from the children and to take time to connect, be playful and be creative. You never know where a child’s curiosity will take you! We hope you have fun, explore and discover together!
